In early 2018, Rod embarked on a transformative journey, becoming certified in yoga to deepen his understanding of the physiological benefits of asana. Through life’s trials and the universe guiding him towards his true purpose, he immersed himself in the study of Eastern philosophy and the rich traditions of yogic practices. This exploration has cultivated within him a profound appreciation for the teachings of Pattabhi Jois and his lineage through the daily practice of Ashtanga. He is passionate about sharing these insights with others, helping them find balance, strength, and serenity which leads them further into self exploration on their own journeys.
Brit began her yoga journey in 2012 when a friend invited her to a Saturday morning hot yoga class. She immediately fell in love with the practice. In a world that often feels chaotic and fast paced, yoga offered her a sacred quiet space. Since then, the practice has continued to ground and expand her life in so many ways.
In 2022, she began teaching yoga at a CrossFit gym and local pop-up classes. Those experiences deepened her belief that yoga is truly for every body- no matter your background or level of experience. She completed my 200 hour teacher training in 2025. Her hope is that each person who steps into her class feels fully embraced and honored, just as they are.
Sydney began her yoga journey in 2012 and quickly fell in love with the practice of a mind, body and spirit connection. In 2014 she deepened her studies by living in an ashram and studying in India at Anand Prakash Ashram in Rishikesh, under her guru, Yogrishi Vishvaketu. The lineage she delved into and teaches roots in the practice of Akhanda, meaning "whole", which focuses on philosophy, mantra, asana, meditation and pranayama. She received her 200 hour YTT and came back to Pensacola with a passionate offering of the safe space she received in India. Two years and many hours of teaching later, she went back to Rishikesh, India and studied and graduated with her 500 hour certification. This course deepened her understanding of the kundalini energy and practice, as well as introduced her to the practice of Kriya (cleansing) yoga. After a decade of manifesting and intentional creation, she opened up Golden Hour.
Sydney will always to offer a safe, nurturing, and deepening space for practitioners of any age, level, background and body type, to feel heard, seen and worthy of an opportunity to connect deeply within themselves and their practice.
